Carol reflects on how Pilates makes her feel: "I love the feeling of total body strength and interconnectivity of movement I love the challenge, the constant learning and the feeling of improvement. I love the fact that Pilates helps keep me in form for other activities e.g. snowshoeing, hiking, walking and kayaking" I have mostly done some form of physical activity in my long life. (75 years) Pilates has been very effective in preserving and strengthening my body and mind. I do three Pilates classes per week It was a lifeline during the COVID shut downs and provides the portal to my good health." The studio environment is inviting, friendly, and calm. It offers a variety of services and activities that I have taken part in e.g. workshops, yoga and ballet. |

Ruth tells us: “Angela is a wonderful teacher who is respected & loved by all her students. She brings her charming warmth and humour into the studio to complement her expertise & knowledge of Pilates. In addition to her Pilates training, she’s constantly learning & researching to pass on new information and challenges to her students. Angela's excellent verbal cues keep us on track & we appreciate the alternatives she provides to those of us with physical limitations or injuries. I have always felt safe & cared for in Angela’s classes while she motivates & challenges me.
Why Ruth loves Pilates: Pilates has helped to keep me fit & aging more gracefully as I move into my seventies. It challenges me to stay strong, flexible, mobile, & still fitting into my 10 year old jeans! I look forward to my 3 classes per week with Angela & enjoy the camaraderie of my fellow classmates. And although physical exercise has helped to maintain my body fitness, I find the added benefit or complement to be a healthier mind & spirit. The studio is a warm & welcoming space with a great variety of equipment & props to keep things interesting & challenging. |
